This vital human emotion is necessary for the the optimal functioning of people and all of their cells, tissues, and organs. It is found in most of Nature; in foods, domestic animals, friends and family; and is used to heal a wide variety of diseases. There are no toxic effects, but deficiency can cause a wide range of ailments.

Sources: It is found readily in most moms and dads and is highly concentrated in grandmothers and grandfathers. Sisters and brothers may be a good source of Vitamin L, although often it is covered up in early years, developed in the teens, and more available in adulthood. Massage therapy is a particularly good source of Vitamin L.

Vitamin L is also found in cats, dogs, and horses; in flowers and birds; and in trees and plants. In food it is especially found in home-cooked or other meals where vitamin L is used consciously as an ingredient. it is digested and absorbed easily and used by the body in it's pure state, being eliminated almost unchanged; in this, it is unique among the vitamins. It is also made by friendly bacteria and all positive reactions and attitudes in the body.

Functions: This vitamin acts as the "universal" vitalizing energy. It helps to catalyze all human functions and the circulation of warmth and joy. Digestion is very dependent on appropriate doses of vitamin L as is the function of the nervous system. Adrenaline, the brain endorphins (natural tranquilizers and energizers), and other hormones are enhanced by Vitamin L as well. It is extremely important in the healing process.

Uses: Vitamin L is an important nutrient in all human relations, domestic and international. It is a vital ingredient in all health practitioners, doctors, clinics and hospitals. Love is also known as the catalytic "vitamin of healing". It can pass through the healer's energy vibrations to the recipient. It should be used in all heart problems and a wide variety of medical conditions. Vitamin L is also particularly helpful for all kinds of psychological disturbances. Depression, sadness, anger, worry, fear, pain, concern over world affairs and many stresses of life can be helped by Vitamin L therapy. It is particularly important in resolving relationship difficulties. Fear, one the more difficult problems to treat, usually requires mega doses of vitamin L, as does greed.

Deficiency and toxicity. There are rarely any problems with an excess intake of vitamin L. Side effects, however may include swooning, a strange feeling at the center of the chest, goose bumps, staring blankly into space, or singing without cause. Usually, though, amounts many times the minimum requirements offer no difficulty and are often helpful. Fatigue, muscle tension, increased likelihood of stress conditions, digestive upset, drug problems, and sexual aberrations are only a few of the possible effects of Vitamin L deficiency. Vitamin L can become deficient easily in people under great demand to perform, like doctors, nurses, and other hospital workers or in people who jobs are very cerebral, such as business people, accountants and stockbrokers.

Abrupt withdrawal from regular vitamin L use can be hazardous, as the love vitamin is somewhat addicting. People have varying sensitivities to decreases in vitamin L, and deficiency symptoms may occur easily. It is wise to replace any reductions with vitamin L from other sources (a key reason for having compassionate health practitioners). Increased amounts of vitamin L are more easily tolerated by most people, although huge increase should be taken slowly to prevent side effects.

Requirements. The requirements may vary from person to person, according to a wide range of factors. There are no RDAs for vitamin L, although infants and small children usually require fairly large doses. International hug experts advise a  4 hugs daily to prevent vitamin L deficiency, 6 hugs for maintenance and 10 hugs a day for growth. The whole body just works better when there is plenty of LOVE
